Barkode and Studio R-nul digitally reworked the archive of Ed van der Elsken into ED, the audiovisual performance presented as the finissage of the exhibition Lust for Life at the Nederlands Fotomuseum. Photographs and film fragments were processed using algorithms and filters, and combined with new recordings made in the museum and around Van der Elsken’s former home.

The live audio component of the performance focused on modular sound synthesis and sonological techniques, creating a dynamic interplay with the visual material.
